Terms of Business

Welcome to Swiss Tutoring!
These are the standard terms of business for tutoring services provided by Swiss Tutoring and our network of qualified tutors.

1. Services Provided

Swiss Tutoring offers bespoke, private tutoring services in Mathematics, Science, English, and other academic subjects, tailored to international school curricula (IB, IGCSE, MYP). Tutoring is delivered in person or online, depending on the client’s preference and agreement.

2. Tutor Assignments

Tutors are assigned by Swiss Tutoring based on the student’s individual needs. All tutors are thoroughly vetted and briefed to ensure they meet the required academic standards. Swiss Tutoring remains the primary point of contact and contractual partner for all tutoring arrangements.

3. Lesson Rates and Payment

• The standard rate is CHF 260 per hour for individual sessions.

• A reduced rate of CHF 230 per hour applies when booking a block of 10 or more sessions.

These rates include lesson preparation and any reasonable follow-up. Payment is due in advance or upon receipt of invoice, unless otherwise agreed. Invoices are issued monthly or per block.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are billed in full.

• Sessions cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled without charge.

5. Communication

All booking arrangements, confirmations, and updates may be managed via WhatsApp, email, or phone. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure messages are received and responded to in a timely manner.

6. Responsibility

Swiss Tutoring is committed to providing high-quality tutoring and maintaining professional standards. However, we do not guarantee specific academic results. Students and parents remain responsible for their own academic progress and participation.

7. Confidentiality

All student and client information is kept strictly confidential. Swiss Tutoring does not share personal or academic data with third parties without prior consent.

8. Legal Framework

Swiss Tutoring operates as a registered sole proprietorship in the Canton of Vaud. These Terms of Business are governed by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction: Aigle, Switzerland.

9. Acceptance

By booking a session with Swiss Tutoring, the client acknowledges and accepts these Terms of Business.

10. Subcontracted Tutors

In some cases, tutoring may be delivered by trusted subcontractors working under the Swiss Tutoring brand. These tutors are carefully selected, briefed, and supported to meet our quality and professional standards.
Swiss Tutoring remains the sole point of contact and is responsible for all contractual matters, even when sessions are conducted by a subcontracted tutor.
